In a space this close to caregiving, personal data deserves extra weight. JOJU PET CARE handles data by three principles: minimal collection, clear purpose, and your control.
1. What we collect
Account: email, name (optional), contact (optional), password (stored as a hash — never in plain text).
Activity: order and payment history, delivery addresses, product reviews, inquiries, wallet transaction records.
Technical: access logs and cookies (login session, language preference lp_locale).
2. What we deliberately do not collect
Veterinary records, test results, or prescriptions for your pet — they are not needed to fill an order, so no screen offers an upload for them.
Health information about you. Our sourcing standards imply who we build for, but we neither ask nor store it.
We believe the strongest protection is not collecting sensitive data at all, and we encourage you not to include medical details in inquiries either.
3. How we use data
Service: account authentication, order, payment and delivery processing, exchanges and returns.
Safety: preventing fraudulent orders and payment abuse, enforcing the review policy.
Improvement: service quality work based on de-identified statistics.
We do not sell personal data to third parties, and we do not profile you for advertising.
4. Storage and protection
Passwords are one-way hashed; the plain text is never stored anywhere.
Data lives on access-controlled cloud infrastructure (AWS).
When you delete your account we erase personal data without delay; transaction records under statutory retention duties are kept separately for only the required period.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification & erasure: correct inaccurate data, or delete your account and data.
Portability: receive your data in a structured format.
Restriction & objection: ask us to stop specific processing.

6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies (login session) and preference cookies (language). No advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Payments and wallets
Card payments are processed by a payment gateway; JOJU PET CARE servers never store card numbers.
JOJU token payments are recorded on a public blockchain ledger by nature and cannot be deleted. Wallet addresses are managed in connection with your account.
8. Changes
Material changes to this policy are announced on the site. Last revised: July 2026.
